ABOUT

Born in San Francisco and raised in the Bay Area, Alexandra is a self taught, visual artist who has used art as an outlet to stay connected to her family’s Mexican roots. She began with just sketching in pencil as a form of escapism during high school, and it wasn’t up until her first year of college in 2015, were she took an art class for extra credit, that she discovered her interests in painting. Positive feedback from her teacher and peers is what motivated her to pursue this newly found passion that quickly grew into something bigger. People began reaching out to her for commissioned works on social media. From the years of 2016 to 2023, Campos mainly focused on painting commissioned portraits, while still creating some original pieces here and there. Now in 2025, Alexandra has decided to mainly focus on bringing her original visions to life.

Being inspired by nature and reminders of her Mexican heritage, Campos focuses on bringing her paintings to life with color theory using oils, evoking “memories” of Mexico or capturing the essence of them.
