Born in San Francisco and raised in the Bay Area, Alexandra is a self taught, visual artist who has used art as an outlet to stay connected to her family’s Mexican roots. It wasn’t until her first year of college in 2015, were she took an art class for extra credit, that she discovered her interest in painting. Positive feedback from her teacher and peers is what motivated her to pursue this newly found passion that quickly grew into something bigger.
Working with mostly oil paints, paintings created by Alexandra are created from memories of trips made to Mexico, time spent in nature, and her love for cactuses.
